Vinistra
The “Vinistra” Association of Winegrowers and Winemakers of Istria is a non-profit organization and the oldest wine association in Croatia, bringing together more than 120 members. Through exhibitions, tastings, and promotional activities, it represents Istrian wines and winemakers while fostering wine culture and quality standards in the region. Our task was to modernize the visual identity and adapt it to a contemporary graphic expression. At the same time, we needed to clearly differentiate the Association from the event of the same name, while preserving the visual connection between the two.
The rebranding preserves and reinterprets the core idea of the grape cluster. Instead of fingerprints, circles of varying sizes are introduced, symbolizing the diversity of winemakers who, whether larger or smaller, together form a connected community, much like a grape cluster. Two visually aligned logos were developed, one for the Association and one for the event, sharing common visual elements while differing in their interpretation of the motif. In the event logo, the circles are connected by a grapevine stem, forming a grape cluster, while in the Association logo, the stem creates the shape of a roof, serving as a metaphor for protection, unity, and bringing winemakers together “under one roof.” The visual identity was developed as a comprehensive system applicable across printed, promotional, spatial, and retail materials.
